Driving Directions:

The Lansing office is in the Hall of Justice, 925 West Ottawa Street, between Ottawa Street on the north, Allegan Street on the south and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard on the west. It is on the opposite end of the mall from the Capitol Building.

From the East: Take I-96 west to Exit 106B (127/496 exit). Follow I-496 for downtown Lansing to Exit 5 for M L King Blvd. Proceed north on M L King Blvd to the intersection of Allegan Street (second light). Turn right onto Allegan. See parking instructions below.

From the North or South: Take US-127 until you are able to exit onto I-496 for downtown Lansing. Use Exit 5 for M L King Blvd. Proceed north on M L King Blvd to the intersection of Allegan Street (second light). Turn right onto Allegan. See parking instructions below.

From the West: Take I-96 to Exit 95. Follow I-496 for downtown Lansing. Use Exit 5 for M L King Blvd. Proceed north on M L King Blvd to the intersection of Allegan Street (second light). Turn right onto Allegan. See parking instructions below.

From the Flint area: Take I-69 to Exit 89A for US-127 South. Proceed on 127 for approximately 4 miles until you can exit onto I-496 for downtown Lansing. Use Exit 5 for M L King Blvd. Proceed north on M L King Blvd to the intersection of Allegan Street (second light). Turn right onto Allegan. See parking instructions below.

Parking Instructions

Parking is available in the visitor parking lot just east of the Hall of Justice, across from the Michigan Historical Center and next to the Vietnam War Memorial. Turn left (north) into the unattended pay lot from Allegan St. You will take a ticket from the dispenser as you enter. When you are ready to leave, walk up to the glassed-in pay station and insert your ticket. The pay station is equipped to make change for up to $20 bills. The total amount owed ($.75/hr, max of $7.50/day) will display on the screen. Before inserting payment, press the button adjacent to the blinking "Receipt" sign if you need a receipt. Then insert payment and take your validated ticket and receipt (if you requested one). When you drive out of the lot, insert the validated ticket into the reader at the exit. The gate will lift. If the gate does not function properly, a call button can be used to contact the Department of Management and Budget for assistance.

Handicap spaces are provided in the visitor lot. Handicap parking is also available in the East Deck of the Hall of Justice. Exit I-496 at Exit 5, Martin Luther King Boulevard. Proceed north on Martin Luther King Boulevard past the Hall of Justice, past Ottawa Street, to Ionia Street. Turn right on Ionia. Drive one block to Butler. Turn right on Butler. Drive one block to Ottawa. Turn right on Ottawa Street and immediately move to the left lane so that you can turn left into the ramp going under the Hall of Justice to the East Deck. At the foot of the ramp, use the call button to indicate that you need access to the lot. When the gate is lifted, drive into the ramp, turn left immediately after entering, and park in one of the handicap spaces available there. Take the elevator to the ground level and use the covered colonnade ramp to get to the front entrance of the building. The doors from the parking elevator lobby to the colonnade and from the colonnade to the Hall of Justice lobby are equipped with power openers. The distance from the elevator lobby to the top of the colonnade ramp is about 105 feet. The distance from the top of the ramp to the building entrance is about 96 feet.
